Belize Xibalba Cave Tubing Trip- Prep

So I know it’s been FOREVER since I’ve last updated… no excuses I think it’s the combination of lack of motivation, and the fact that not much has changed in my tank, nor my art work.

But my recent vacation to Belize was really inspiring and I’d love to share some key experiences with you!

One of the most exciting part of the trip was the cave tubing at the Xibalba (a Mayan God). This cave is located in the lime stone hills of Cayo district. About an hour drive from Belize City. The area features a dry cave and two “wet” caves. There is a shorter, more popular cave for most of the casual visitors, and there is a longer, deeper cave that requires an all day hiking along with more advanced gears to traverse.

This post is simply a video of the prepping area showing that most visitors are in their swimming gear and have a tube and helmet ready for the 30 minute hike to the actual cave area.
